Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Welcome to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Section!
Introduction
What is DEI?
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) includes efforts to promote fair and equitable treatment and full participation of all people. This includes populations that have been historically excluded, underrepresented, or subject to discrimination because of their identities, background, culture, etc. (APA, 2021). Diversity refers to the representation of various social identity groups. Equity means providing resources according to the need of each individual or group to help them all succeed. Inclusion involves creating an environment of respect and participation of all individuals.
